Posted on Saturday, July 13 2019

Aloha All Owners,

The 2nd round of interior fire alarm testing for 2019 will be conducted on Wednesday and Thursday, July 24th and 25th. Inspections for building 1 - 12 will be Wednesday the 24th, and buildings 13 - 24 to follow on Thursday the 25th.

Please see the attached list of units that have not yet completed interior inspections for 2019. If your unit is listed, please contact me at to arrange access for the inspection team.

If your unit is not listed, we have completed inspections for 2019 and do not need access, however, please be sure to inform your guests of the testing conditions. The inspection team consisting of Johnson Controls technicians and a member of the Halii Kai maintenance staff will knock on all doors prior to sounding the alarm. Testing will begin at 9 am and conclude at 3 pm on both days.

As a reminder, all owners are responsible for cleaning and or replacement of fire alarm devices inside the units, as well as back-up battery replacement.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Preventative Maintenance Tip

Posted on Thursday, June 27 2019

Aloha Owners,

A quick tip for preventative maintenance...

There is potential for a water leak to occur from your toilet/tank fasteners. Please see attached pictures of severely corroded bolts vs. one in good condition. These bolts secure the tank to the lower half of the toilet and the bolt heads are visible at the bottom of the tank when the tank lid is removed. Use of chlorine based tank tablets should be avoided as they can accelerate corrosion of tank parts.

Please inspect you tank bolts and replace if necessary to limit the potential for water leaks.
